I left GPHS at the end of 3rd year and joined the Navy in 71.  I was an officer candidate and matriculated whilst serving.  I did very well and received a Commonwealth scholarship.  I was honourably discharged in 74 for medical reasons (I'm deaf in one ear).  I studied dentistry at Adelaide Uni for a while, but this didn't work out.  Got into IT instead at the age of 19 and have been there ever since.  I married at 20 in 1976 and this lasted for 16 years.  We remained separated for 10 years and finally divorced a year or so ago.  I have two sons..now aged 27 and 28..one working in Adelaide, the other working in Singapore.  

I have lived and worked in every mainland state...Adelaide, Fremantle, Ayers Rock, Hamilton Island, Sydney, Melbourne and now Swan Hill.  I'm living solo in the tiny Victorian country town of Nyah...on the Murray River just north of Swan Hill.  I'm currently the IT Manager for a large, privately owned agricultural company. 

Daily life is very busy...I travel a great deal with my job, and I'm an officer with the local fire brigade.  I've been an active volunteer fire-fighter for over 20 years, and I officiate at many national and international motor sport events as a fire marshal.
