Jeanette Davies

 

Married to Garry for 31 years. We have two sons aged 23 and 25 years. Our oldest son, Marcus, is currently living and teaching English in Japan.  Our younger son, Alex, has just finished his degree in Electronic Engineering in Melbourne.
I originally trained as a Social Worker and worked in Child protection until we moved to Mildura in 1988. I then moved into teaching at Sunraysia Institute of TAFE and, over the years, I have slowly climbed the management ladder.
My current position is Senior Manager/ Head of Centre for Arts and Community Education. My portfolio includes Visual Media Studies, Further Education, Health and Community Services, Indigenous Programs and Youth Pathways programs. I also have responsibilities for the Swan Hill campus (only a 500km round trip).
My husband Garry did a 'sea-change' from Logistics management in the winery industry to Self employed catering a few years ago so we are kept quite busy. Needless to say we are into good food and wine.
